Anyone who lives on the shoreline in CT knows of the house right in front of the middle school in Branford that is decorated to the nines every year for Christmas. The house with the huge peace sign and "God bless our troops" staring down traffic year-round. This was all due to a woman named Lucy Collins, who passed away suddenly - tragically - this past Friday, at only 59-years-old. Her husband works as the custodian at the school, and this is a real blow to the town. She was one-of-a-kind, painstakingly upping the ante year in and year out. These are the people who add excitement to the holiday season, and whose absences add to the stars above.
