President Donald Trump posted video footage of a massive explosion caused by a U.S. airstrike on a large ammunition depot in Isfahan, Iran, on his Truth Social account Monday (March 31) night.

A U.S. official described the video content as a "high volume" of 2,000-pound bunker buster bombs while speaking to the Wall Street Journal about the social media post. The blast took place in Isfahan, known as a "missile city" where the majority of Iran's enriched uranium is located in deep underground tunnels at its nuclear complex.

Trump claimed that the United States was in "serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE" Iranian regime, but still threatened to expand strikes if negotiations fail, in an earlier post shared on his Truth Social account Monday morning.

"The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately 'Open for Business,' we will conclude our lovely 'stay' in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet 'touched,' Trump wrote. "This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year 'Reign of Terror.' Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP."

Trump announced "major combat operations" in Iran on February 28 with several Iranian officials, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed during U.S.-Israeli joint strikes. Mojtaba Khamenei was later chosen to succeed his father.

Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel, U.S. bases in the middle east and several Gulf nations, as well as attempting to block shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which serves as a vital waterway for trade along the Persian Gulf.

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has led Brent crude oil spiking in market price, currently reported to be $115.08 per barrel, while gas prices across the U.S. have also shot up in the weeks since 'Operation Epic Fury' was launched. Alireza Tangsiri, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy commander who authorized the closure, was killed in an airstrike launched by Israel last week.
