The UCONN Women's Basketball Team are National Champions! The Huskies defeated South Carolina 82-59 on Sunday. It is UCONN's 12 National Title, all under Coach Geno Auriemma. He is 12-1 in Championship Games.
It is UCONN's first Championship since 2016.
Azzi Fudd had 24 points, Sarah Strong had 22 points and Paige Bueckers had 17 points. Fudd was also named the Final 4 Tournament MVP.
The Men's Championship Game is Monday night - pitting Florida against Houston.
Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals, became the NHL's all time leading scorer, scoring his 895th goal, passing Wayne Gretzky on Sunday against the New York Islanders. Gretzky had held the record with 894 goals.
