Wednesday, a trip to Seymour - Girls Softball - Oxford at Seymour
This was the 4th meeting of the year between these 2 teams - Seymour had won the first 3
But Oxford started quickly, scoring 3 runs in the top of the 1st, rbis from Kaylee Goldstein and Vangie Magera
Seymour answered with a run in the bottom of the 1st on a Home Run from Julianna Raucci
Oxford scored a run in the 3rd on an rbi double by Tessa Hatch
And my friends - that was all the scoring in the game - Oxford pitcher Shay Webb tossed a nifty 2 hitter and Oxford defeated Seymour 4-1; Oxford moves on to the Quarterfinals and will face Stonington
For Oxford: Shay Webb had 2 hits and scored a run, Sienna Lucas had 2 hits and scored a run, Bella Costantini had 2 hits
Oxford outhit Seymour 13-2.
