In MLB Tuesday, the Yankees beat the Tigers 5-1. DJ LeMahieu and Giancarlo Stanton homered for New York. It was Stanton's 400th career Home Run. Gerrit Cole(13-4) was the winning pitcher.
The Mets Beat the Nationals 11-5. Brandon Nimmo, Francisco Alvarez, Pete Alonso, and Francisco Lindor all homered for the Mets.
The Red Sox lost to the Rays 8-6 in 11 innings. Enmanuel Valdez homered for Boston.
The US Men's Basketball Team defeated Italy 100-63 in the Quarterfinals of the FIBA World Basketball Championship Tournament. The US will play the winner of the Germany/Latvia Quarterfinal game on Wednesday in the Semifinals on Friday.
