In MLB Monday, the Yankees beat the Oakland Athletics 7-2. Gleyber Torres, DJ LeMahieu, Oswaldo Cabrera, and Aaron Hicks all homered for New York.

Monday's Broadcast - Girls Softball - Mercy at North Haven - another classic at the North Haven Athletic Complex -- an unbelievable game - Mercy led undefeated North Haven 6-2 going to the bottom of the 7th inning - but the never say die Nighthawks scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning for a dramatic 7-6 victory.

For the 2nd game in a row, Alyssa DiGiovanna had the game winning hit. This time it was walk-off 3 run Home Run! North Haven is 16-0; until the 7th inning, North Haven had just 3 hits, but had 5 runs on 5 hits in the 7th; Kayla Balisciano and Avery Berney had key rbi singles before the dramatic Home Run

For Mercy, Amelia Andruskiewicz had 3 hits and an rbi, McKayla Greenwood hit a Home Run, Maggie Mathews had 2 hits and an rbi, and Ava Chrostowski had a single and 2 rbis; Mercy outhit North Haven 12-8; Mercy is 11-4
