New London led 8-7 after 1 quarter, but trailed Sheehan 20-18 at Halftime. Sheehan still led 34-30 after 3 quarters and stretched it to 36-30 with a little over 5 minutes left. But the Whalers went on a 9-0 run to take a 39-36 lead. Sheehan tied it with a 3 by Liv Cassessee at 39, but New London took charge after that, outscoring the Titans 8-2 and post a 47-41 victory, advancing to the State Tournament Semifinals, where they will face Wolcott.
