NHL Rangers Lose SHA, Hamden Win, Will Meet for SCC Tournament Championship

In the NHL Monday night, the Rangers lost to the Winnipeg Jets 4-1.

The Islanders beat the Penguins 4-2 and the Bruins defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-1.

Monday's Broadcast - Girls Basketball - SCC Tournament Semifinals

Game 1 Sacred Heart Academy led all the way and beat Mercy 49-33. Lauren Thompson had 13 points, Meghan Kirck had 12 points and Lyla D'Errico added 11 points for the Sharks.

Ava Giansiracusa led Mercy with 13 points.

Game 2 Hamden and West Haven had quite a battle from start to finish, but the Green Dragons made bigger shots down the stretch and eked out a 47-43 win over the Blue Devils. Hamden is 22-0.

Alana Philpotts had 21 points for Hamden and Gianna Donnarummo had 15 points, including making some clutch foul shots.

Kassidy Carrano had 12 points and Noelle Lawrence had 10 points for West Haven.
