A trip to Eastieville Tuesday - Girls Softball - SCC Semifinal Game - West Haven at East Haven
The story of this game - a big inning - the Yellow Jackets scored 6 runs in the 1st inning and went on to beat the Blue Devils 9-1. East Haven advances to the SCC Championship Game Wednesday night against Jonathan Law at 6pm at Biondi Field in West Haven. Law beat Guilford 1-0 in the other Semifinal Game.
This is the 1st trip to the Championship Game for both teams! Plus, these 2 teams did not meet during the regular season.
For East Haven Tuesday - Emilee Bishop was the winning pitcher and had 11 strikeouts and had 2 hits and scored 2 runs; Jilien Ayala had 3 hits and 2 rbis, Lena Barthel had 2 hits and scored 2 runs; Lily Gagnon had an rbi, Arielle Dupre had an rbi, Gianna Fowler had a double and 2 rbis, and Gianna Santoro had 2 hits and 2 rbis
For West Haven - Mia Rubirosa had the lone rbi with a Sac Fly, and Gianna Carrano had 2 hits
West Haven will now get ready for the CIAC State Tournament.
