A trip to Condor Land in Ansonia - Ansonia at O'Brien Tech - Girls Softball - and what a game this was - Ansonia needs to win their last 2 games to qualify for the CIAC State Touurnament and O'Brien Tech came in unbeaten at 15-0.
Well, it took more than 7 innings to get a winner in this one - 10 innings thank you very much -and when the dust cleared, Ansonia had a 7-6 victory, kept their Post Season hopes alive, and knocked the Condors from the unbeaten ranks.
A see-saw game for sure - Ansonia trailed 3-2 after 4, 4-3 after 5, led 6-4 after 5 1/2, led 6-5 after 6 and O'Brien got a run in the bottom of the 7th to tie it at 6
It stayed that way until the 10th. With 1 out, Jackie Brown tripled and scored on a single by Jade Garrido.
