A trip to Milford Tuesday to take in Girls Softball - Hand at Foran - and am I glad I did - I saw a dandy!
Foran scored a run in the bottom of the 7th inning to beat Hand 7-6. Foran had beaten Hand 11-0 in their 1st meeting.
This was a back and forth game - It was tied 2-2 after 1, Foran went ahead 4-2 after 3, Hand scored 3 in the 4th to take a 5-4 lead, Foran scored 2 runs in the 5th to regain the lead 6-5, Hand scored a run in the top of the 7th to tie it at 6 and Foran scored a run in the bottom of the 7th to win it 7-6. For Foran - Morgan Viesselman was the winning pitcher and had 3 rbis, including the game winning rbi in the 7th with a single; she also had 2 rbis on Sac Flies; Kendall LaMorte had 2 hits and scored 2 runs, Mary Rodrigues had 2 rbis, Chloe Nittoly had 2 rbis, and Haley Stroffolino had a triple leading off the bottom of the 7th and scored the winning run
For Hand - Lily Perry had a triple and 2 rbis, Alexa Young had 2 rbis, Grace Hall had an rbi, and Meghan Hart had 2 hits and scored 2 runs
A thoroughly entertaining game.
