Softball is a funny game - one inning you're breezing along - and the next inning, you fall behind - amazing
Well, North Haven jumped out to a 6-2 lead after 5 innings and seemed to be headed for a win.
Hold On - remember what I said about Softball - Hand erupted for 6 runs in the 6th inning and added the game winning run in the 7th and then held on for a 9-8 win over the Nighthawks and sweep the season series.
North Haven trailed 9-6 going to the bottom of the 7th and scored 2 runs and had the bases loaded, but fell short of the victory.
The ball was flying out of the North Haven Athletic Complex. 6 Home Runs were hit in the game- 4 by Hand, 2 by North Haven.
For Hand - Megan Hart had a Home Run, 2 rbis; Alexa Young had a Home Run 2 rbis; Grace Hall had a 3 run Home Run; Reese Ciecko had a single, double and drove in the game winning rbi with a Home Run in the top of the 7th
For North Haven - Gabriella Blanchard hit 2 Home Runs and had 4 rbis; Isabella Blanchard had 2 hits; Alyssa DiGiovanna had 2 hits
The 2 teams combined for 17 runs and 23 hits. Hand is 7-4, North Haven is 7-5.
