Wednesday's Broadcast - Girls Softball - SHA at West Haven - and it turned out to be a dandy
West Haven got the win 5-3. West Haven is now 8-2, SHA is 5-7.
The Blue Devils jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 1. Juliana Petruzziello had a 2 run single. They added a run in the 2nd on an rbi single by Mia Rubirosa and made it 4-0 after 5 on a Sac Fly from Paige Beurer.
But the Sharks made their move, scoring 3 runs in the top of the 6th. Meghan Brown knocked in 2 runs with a triple and Ayva Caruso had an rbi double.
But West Haven got a run in the bottom of the 6th on a Sac Fly from Hannah Davey, making the final 5-3.
For West Haven - Juliana Petruzziello had 2 hits and 2 rbis, Mia Rubirosa had 3 hits and an rbi, Hannah Burrows had a double and scored a run, and Hannah Davey had a double and Sac Fly.
For SHA - Isabella Saracco had a single and scored a run, Anne Plunkett had a single and scored a run, Jillian Cofrancesco had 2 hits, and Meghan Brown a triple and 2 rbis
A very well played and entertaining game.
