A trip to Milford Wednesday - Girls Softball - West Haven at Foran and what a wild, exciting and entertaining game it was.
Scoreless after 3, West Haven scored a run in the 4th on an rbi single by Hannah Burrows. But Foran scored a run in the bottom of the 4th on an rbi single by Lauren Stroffolino.
West Haven regained the lead in the 5th on an rbi single by Mia Rubirosa. The Westies made it 3-1 in the 6th on an rbi single by Holley Waibel.
But the Lions answered big time in the bottom of the 6th. 2 singles and a walk loaded the bases. it was 3-2 after the Lions scored on a wild pitch and it was 3-3 after an rbi from Kaitlyn Beaupre.
But the big blow came off the bat of Kendall LaMorte. LaMorte blasted a 2 run Home Run to give the Lions a 5-3 lead and that's how it ended - Foran 5 West Haven 3
