Monday's Broadcast - Hockey - CIAC State Tournament Div. 2 Championship Game
The #3 seed Wethersfield Eagles rode the great goal tending Matthew Ruck and a solid all around defensive performance to blank the North Haven Nighthawks 3-0 at Quinnipiac. Ruck had over 20 saves in the game.
After a scoreless 1st Period, the Eagles scored twice in Period 2.
Jack Millen scored the 1st goal and moments later, Colby Quinn scored a Power Play goal, and Wethersfield had a 2-0 lead. For all intensive purposes, the game was over. Ruck was rock solid in Period 3 and got a late goal from William McCarter to seal the deal 3-0.
The loss also snapped North Haven's 21 game winning streak.
So congrats to the Eagles of Wethersfield.

The final Winter Broadcast should be a real dandy - Darien(11-7-1) ND(WH)(16-4)
These 2 teams met twice during the regular season with ND winning both games 3-1 and 4-1.
