Tuesday's Broadcast - Hockey - the CIAC State Tournament Div. 2 Semifinals
Game 1 Wethersfield 6 Lyman Hall 3 Shane and Ryan Mazur combined for 5 goals as the Eagles defeated the Trojans 6-3
Lyman Hall struck first on a goal by Jimbo Cohrs, Shane Mazur countered for Wethersfield to knot the game at 1.
Lyman Hall regained the lead 2-1 on a goal by Dan Pettit, but Shane Mazur scored his 2nd goal to tie it at 2. Brother Ryan scored a Power Play goal to give the Eagles a 3-2 lead and brother Shane got his 3rd goal of the game and Wethersfield led 4-2 after 2 Periods.
Aydan Durant scored for Lyman Hall to make it 4-3, but the Eagles got 2 more goals - Ryan Mazur got his 2nd of the game and William McCarter finished off the scoring with a goal and the Eagles punched their ticket to the Title Game on Monday night at Quinnipiac.
Game 2 North Haven 2 Sheehan 0 Jared Anderson made 22 saves and North Haven got goals from Owen Quick and Alex Petersen to post a shutout win over the Titans.
So it will be Wethersfield and North Haven in the Championship Game Monday night at Quinnipiac
Wednesday the Div. 1 Semifinals Notre Dame(WH) vs. New Canaan; Darien vs. Xavier
The 2 winners will play for the Div. 1 State Championship Tuesday night at Quinnipiac
