Wednesday's Broadcast - Hockey - Glastonbury at West Haven - and it was another dandy at the Bennett Rink.
Two teams hungry for a win and this one required Overtime before we got a winner!
Mike Alfano scored for West Haven on the Power Play in the 1st Period to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead. Ryan Bernardi scored in the 2nd Period and West Haven led 2-0 after 2 Periods.
Then came the wild 3rd Period.
Zach Caporale scored for Glastonbury to make it 2-1 WH, but the Blue Devils came right back on a goal by DJ Carfora and it was 3-1 WH.
But the Guardians scored 2 goals, Zach Caporale(his 2nd of the game) and Sean Huempfner, whose goal tied the game at 3-3 and sent us to Overtime.
But Marcus Burrows sent everyone home in the OT with the game winning goal on a beautiful pass from DJ Carfora and West Haven had a 4-3 Overtime win. West Haven is 3-10, Glastonbury 4-10.
Another gem at the Bennett. A very exciting and entertaining game to say the least.
