Wednesday's Broadcast - Girls BB - Hand at Hamden - and yet another dandy - not high scoring but exciting and entertaining
Hamden rushed out to a 20-6 lead after 1 quarter, thanks to 8 points from Leah Philpotts and 6 points from Gianna Donnarummo. Hand outscored Hamden 13-8 in the 2nd quarter and trailed 28-19 at Halftime.
Then came the 2nd Half. Hamden scored just 7points in the 2nd Half!
The Green Dragons surprisingly led 34-32 after 3 quarters, but the scoring drought continued in the 4th quarter as Hamden scored only 1 point. Hand, meanwhile, scored only 7 points but it was enough to give the Tigers a 39-35 win over the Green Dragons and get a split of the season series.
Hand is 14-2, Hamden 12-2
For Hand - Sophia Coppola had 10 points and Coco Rourke had 8 points
For Hamden - Leah Philpotts had 14 points and Caroline Ennis had 8 points
