Tuesday's Broadcast - another dandy - Boys Basketball - Hand at Wilbur Cross. Two very good teams and this game went right down to the wire.
The Governors nipped the Tigers 67-64 to snap their 2 game losing streak.
Hand jumped out to an 18-8 lead after 1 quarter. But Cross stormed back, outscoring Hand 27-17 in the 2nd quarter to tie the game at 35 at Halftime. Both teams scored 15 points in the 3rd quarter, so the game was still knotted at 50 at the start of the 4th quarter.
It was back and forth the entire until Cross took the lead and held off Hand for a 67-64 victory.
Fredo Delgado led Cross with 22 points. Elijah Jean Guillame had 18 points, Christian McClease 16 points and Camaree Williams 11 points for all of Wilbur Cross's points.
Tyler Favre of Hand led all scorers with 28 points. Hudson Geremia had 11 points and Kyle Hoffman added 10 points for the Tigers. Both teams are 4-2.
