It was a solo trip to West Haven Tuesday night - Branford taking on West Haven at Piurek Field.
West Haven started fast - 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st - 1 run on a Wild Pitch and another on an infield out.
Branford tied it at 2 with 2 runs in the 4th, thanks to a 2 run single by David Loomis.
But West Haven scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning - thanks in part to 3 Branford errors and that was the difference - West Haven 4 Branford 2
Dan Izzo was the winning pitcher. He gave up 5 hits and had 3 strikeouts. At the plate Izzo had a single and scored a run.
Evan Jones was spectacular at 2nd base for West Haven. Jones will be a Freshman in September at West Haven.
Adam Chasse had 2 hits and scored a run for Branford.

Wallingford 10 Orange 3 Justin Hackett was the winning pitcher, a complete game performance.
On offense, Hackett was 3 for 5 with a double, Chris Barkasy was 2 for 4 and Bill Gorry was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles.
Hamden 11 North Haven 1 Jake Jovia pitched a No Hitter and had 8 strikeouts. Mike Nista was 2 for 3 with a triple, 2 rbis and scored 3 runs. Dan Alissi was 2 for 2 with a double and triple, an rbi and scored 3 runs
