A trip to East Haven - CIAC State Tournament Class L 2nd Round - Killingly at East Haven with the winner advancing to the Quarterfinals.
An entertaining game to say the least, but when the final out was recorded, the Yellowjackets had put away a 6-2 victory and a trip to the Quarterfinals.
Emilee Bishop was the winning pitcher, going 5 innings, allowing only 3 hits, and had 8 strikeouts. Tori Heaphy pitched the final 2 innings.
Offensively for East Haven, Kayla Goodrich had 2 hits, including a Home Run, and 3 rbis, Tori Heaphy homered, Sammie Franceschi homered and doubled and had an rbi, Lena Barthel had 2 hits and scored a run, and Emilee Bishop had a single, rbi, and scored a run.
For Killingly, Casey Beauregard had 2 hits, Hannah Cozza had a double and rbi, and Lyana Bott-Cuevas had a double and rbi.

The Quarterfinals in Softball are scheduled for Friday and in Baseball for Saturday.
