The CIAC State Softball and Baseball Tournaments begin on Tuesday. It is a single elimination tournament. Everyone starts 0-0.
The 1st and 2nd Rounds of the tournaments will be Tuesday and Wednesday. The Quarterfinals in Softball are slated for Friday and the Baseball Quarterfinals are on Saturday.
My next Broadcast will be Monday, June 7th - the Softball Semifinals(time TBA).
The Championships will be played Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th.
Until then, I will be out and about covering games in the tournament, giving out Hummel Hot Dogs and Hamburgers wherever I go.
So what about Tuesday - tough when there are so many games - BUT ---- there is an SCC team I did not get to see during the regular season - but will take care of that on Tuesday - they had a great season with a new head coach(in fact named the SCC Softball Coach of the Year).
I will be heading down Route 34 to the Valley - Class LL - Ridgefield(7-9) at Shelton(14-4)
