A trip to Ansonia Wednesday - Girls Softball - CTC Semifinals - Kaynor Tech(Waterbury) at O'Brien Tech; I love going to see these Tech games - the girls are always glad to see you and they welcome you with open arms. I enjoyed talking to both teams before the game. I know they appreciate the coverage and quite frankly should get more.
As for the game, it was nip and tuck for 4 innings and then the O'Brien bats took over and it was all over - the Condors had themselves a 20-6 win over Kaynor and advanced to the Championship Game to play Abbott Tech(Danbury) on Friday at Albertus Magnus.
For O'Brien Tech - Victoria Casey was the winning pitcher. She also had 2 hits and 3 rbis. Stephanie Tamburrino had 2 hits including a 3 run Home Run, Ava Sharkey had 4 hits, scored 3 runs and had an rbi, Krystal Black had a triple and 2 rbis, Alexis Vienneau had 2 singles, a triple, scored 2 runs and had an rbi and Alyssa Iorfino had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had an rbi
You like Offense - O'Brien Tech has plenty of that.
For Kaynor Tech - Madison Sirois had 2 hits and scored runs, Krystiana Gonzalez had a single and 2 rbis and Alivia Dunn had 2 hits and scored a run.
