Out to the Valley for an NVL battle between 2 outstanding programs.
Holy Cross(10-6), Seymour (14-4) their only meeting of the season. Both teams have qualified for the CIAC State Tournament and both teams will be in the NVL Conference Tournament.
Meg Dwyer coaches the Crusaders and Ken Pereiras coaches the Wildcats.
Over the years, I've seen and broadcast many great Softball Games. In those years, I've seen teams that have big Home Field advantages.
Cheshire comes to mind, so does Amity(Softball and Baseball) and there are many more.
But in Softball, one of the biggest Home Field Advantages lies in Seymour, where the Wildcats rarely lose. It happens, but not very often.
So Thursday night - does that Home Field Advantage prevail(along with a very good team) or do the Crusaders come to town and disregard all of it and get a "W".
Let's find out together.
