Tuesday's Broadcast - Boys Baseball - Platt Tech at West Haven - not one for the Clinic - but nonetheless - West Haven prevailed beating the Panthers 12-8.
Platt Tech jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st, thanks a to double from Brian Caban with the bases loaded. West Haven answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st, rbis from Gianni Gambardella and Dylan Supan. Platt Tech added a run in the 2nd without the benefit of a hit and led 4-2. But that was their last lead. West Haven scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd and led 5-4 and never looked back.
Gianni Gambardella had a Home Run, triple, 2 singles, 4 rbis and scored 3 runs for the Blue Devils. Dan Izzo, the winning pitcher in relief, had 3 hits, scored 3 runs and had an rbi as well for West Haven.
For Platt Tech, Brian Caban had 2 hits and 4 rbis, Joe Santos had 2 hits and 2 rbis and Casey Krenicki had 2 hits for the Panthers
The Pitchers from both teams combined for 17 walks and 5 hit batsman! As I said, not one for the clinic, especially for the Pitching Clinic.
West Haven is 12-4, Platt Tech is 6-8.
