A trip to East Haven Tuesday - Girls Softball - Cheshire at East Haven - a game that had the atmosphere of a Playoff Game. A great crowd was on hand to watch it and they were not disappointed.
Scoreless through 4 innings, the Rams broke through with a run in the 5th. An error, a sacrifice and an rbi single by Gracie Hemstock and it was 1-0 Cheshire.
The Rams added 2 more runs in the 7th. A single, a sacrifice, a walk, another sacriice, and an error plated 2 runs and it gave Cheshire a 3-0 lead and that was the final score 3-0.
Cheshire is 13-0, East Haven 11-2, both losses coming from Cheshire.
For Cheshire : Trinadey Santiago had 3 hits and scored 2 runs
For East Haven: Tori Heaphy had 2 hits, Lena Barthel had 2 hits and Jilien Ayala had 2 hits
Each team had 8 hits and Cheshire executed 5 sacrifice bunts in the game.
