Girls Softball: Foran Edges Lyman Hall 7-6

Since my Broadcast was wiped out Monday, I ventured to Milford - Foran HS - Danielle Kemp Memorial Field - to see Lyman Hall at Foran in Girls Softball. This turned out to be a dandy.

Foran got the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning on a Passed Ball to edge Lyman Hall 7-6.

Foran scored 4 runs in the 1st on a triple with the bases loaded by Pitcher Morgan Viesselman and a single by Chloe Nittoly. The Lions scored an unearned run in the 2nd and a run in the 3rd and led 6-2 after 3. But Lyman Hall clawed back a run in the 4th, 2 in the 5th and tied the game at 6 with a run in the 6th.

But Foran won it in the 7th on a single, fielders choice, an infield out, a Wild Pitch, and a Passed Ball to win the game.

Chloe Nittoly had 2 hits, scored a run, and had an rbi for Foran.

Keera Reed had a double and 2 rbis and Callie Chordas had 2 hits for Lyman Hall.

It was a thoroughly exciting and entertaining game.
