A solo trip to Hamden on a gorgeous Sunday to take in East Haven at Sacred Heart Academy in Girls Softball. Both teams came into the game undefeated. When the dust cleared, the Yellowjackets came away with a 3-0 victory.
Tori Heaphy was the winning pitcher, a complete game performance. She allowed only 2 hits and had 11 strikeouts plus had 3 hits at the plate and scored 2 runs. The big hit came off the bat of Gianna Fowler, who had a single and 2 rbis. Emily Bishop had 2 hits as well for the Easties.
Jill Cofrancesco and Ayva Caruso had the 2 SHA hits.
In Boys Baseball Sunday, Foran beat Guilford 12-2.
