On Thursday, the CIAC Board of Control approved a Winter Sports Plan. Practices can start Tuesday, January 19th. Games may begin on Monday, February 8th. Twelve regular season games may be played in Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys Ice Hockey, Girls Gymnastics and Boys Swimming. A postseason experience, a League Tournament, will run from March 15-28. There will be no State Tournaments.

The New York Mets have signed free agent outfielder, Jose Martinez to a 1 year contract worth $1 million dollars. Martinez split his 2020 season between the Cubs and the Rays.
The Philadelphia Phillies have signed free agent reliever, Archie Bradley, to a 1 year contract worth $6 million dollars. Last season, Bradley pitched for the Diamondbacks and the Reds.
