Jets Win 1st Game; Giants, Pats Lose; UCONN Men Lose in Overtime

In the NFL Sunday, the New York Jets won their 1st game of the season beating the Los Angeles Rams 23-20. Jets QB Sam Darnold was 23 for 31 for 207 yards and a touchdown. The Jets are 1-13, the Rams 9-5. With the win, the Jets are now tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the worst record, but the Jaguars have the tiebreaker and now own the 1st pick in the NFL Draft.

The Giants lost to the Cleveland Browns 20-6. Giants QB Colt McCoy was 19 for 31 for 221 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. The Giants are 5-9, the Browns 10-4.

The Patriots fell to the Miami Dolphins 22-12. Pats QB Cam Newton was 17 for 27 for 209 yards no touchdowns and no interceptions. The Dolphins are 9-5, the Patriots are 6-8 and are eliminated from the NFL Playoffs for the 1st time since 2008.
