The Yankees lost to Tampa Bay 8-4 in Game 3 of their ALDS. The Rays now lead the series 2-1 in the Best of 5 and have put the Yankees in deep trouble. The Yankees must win 2 in a row to advance to the ALCS.
Masahiro Tanaka was the losing pitcher and quite frankly was awful. Giancarlo Stanton homered again for New York and became the 1st player to hit a Home Run in each of his team's first 5 games in the postseason.
Jordan Montgomery will start Game 4 for the Yankees Thursday night.
In the other ALDS, the Oakland Athletics staved off elimination beating the Houston Astros 9-7. Houston leads the Best of 5 Series 2-1. Game 4 is Thursday.
