High School Soccer - yes it's being played. As a matter of fact, all the Fall Sports began their Fall Season Thursday - oh that's right - there is no Football being played.
So I went out and covered HS Soccer - yes - I will be covering Soccer until November when the Winter Sports hopefully begin.
What an entertaining game and a rivalry game at that - Foran - Jonathan Law. Two evenly matched teams, well coached. The 1st Half was scoreless with neither team putting much pressure on the other and there were few if any scoring chances.
But the 2nd half saw both teams open up - and early in the 2nd half, Christian Boutote scored for Foran, on a beautiful pass from Basit Iddriss, and Foran led 1-0. Ironically, that was the only score of the game, although both teams had chances to score. Law did outshoot Foran in the game.
I thought both Goaltenders played very well, Luca Marinelli(Foran) and Jayden Wywoda(Law).
It felt funny being the only one in the bleachers, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

As for Friday, I will look the schedule over and decide - but I love rivalry games and there is one close to home.
