It was Championship Sunday in the State Tournament in the CtEBA.
In the 19u Division, #6 seed Rocky Hill/Cromwell/Portland defeated #1 seed NCL(Windsor, Windsor Locks) 3-2.
In the 17u Division, #1 Bristol defeated #3 Ellington 10-0.
In Division 2 of the CtEBA, Orange won the Regular Season Championship while Hamden won the League Tournament Championship.
It was truly a great Summer of Baseball, especially since we didn't think there would be any baseball at all.
But now, the attention will turn to the Fall Sports. As of now, there will be the usual Fall Sports. But will there any or will the Spring Sports, like Baseball and Softball, be played, and the Fall Sports moved to the Spring.
I don't know what will happen - but I know one thing - the kids need something! Whether it be Football with a limited schedule or Baseball and Softball with a limited schedule - the kids need something!
