Orange Beats Madison, Within 1 Game of First Place

Tuesday night, back to Brinley Field in Orange - #1 Madison vs. #2 Orange and it lived up to the billing. In a game that took only 1 hour 15 minutes, Orange defeated Madison 2-1 sweeping the 2 game series and moving to within 1 game of Madison for 1st Place in the CtEBA 19u Division.

Both teams scored in the 6th inning. Madison took a 1-0 lead on an rbi double Andy Weinstein. But Orange answered the bell with 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th on a 2 run single from Logan Phaffenbecker. Will Rotko was the winning pitcher, a complete game performance. Madison is 9-2, Orange 8-3. It was a thoroughly entertaining game, played like a 1 vs. 2 game.

Hamden 8 New Haven 0 Carson Reynolds was the winning pitcher. John D'Errico had a double and triple, Jake Jovia a Home Run and 3 rbis, and Carson Reynolds, Jack Lindberg and Cullin Florio each had 2 hits for Hamden.

Milford 6 North Haven 3 Matt Germanese executed a perfect suicide squeeze bunt for Milford. Zach Blest and Ryan Balzano had 2 hits each for North Haven.

Wallingford 9 East Haven 2 Anthony Cretella was the winning pitcher. Justin Hackett had 3 hits, 2 triples and a double.

West Haven 7 Branford 1 Hunter Axelrod was the winning pitcher. He also had an rbi single. Lorenzo Espinal had 2 hits and Gianni Gambardella and Isaiah Wyatt each had doubles for West Haven.
