The Baseball saga continues.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark met in Arizona reportedly to try and hammer out a framework for the 2020 season. The latest MLB proposal includes:
60 games in 70 days
Season starting July 19th
Full Prorated Salaries ( was a major sticking point)
Expanded Playoffs in 2020 and 2021
Waving of any potential grievance( a major sticking point)
Both sides have to ratify the new proposal.
Maybe we will have a 2020 MLB season.
The NBA's Orlando Bubble will have a fair share of amenities for the players to enjoy when they are not playing. The 22 teams will be divided in 3 hotels based on seeding.
The WTA and the ATP Tours will both resume in August. The Women will start August 3rd in Italy and the Men will begin August 14th in Washington D.C.
Yale Football All American John Zanieski(1985) is on this year's National Football Foundation's College Hall of Fame ballot. Also on the ballot are Dwight Freeney(Bloomfield HS & Syracuse University) and Curtis Eller(Stratford HS & Villanova).
The College Football season is expected to start on time beginning July 13th.
The Connecticut Elite Baseball Association will begin their summer schedule of games on July 1st.
