Monday's Broadcast - the Girls SCC Tournament Semifinals - and both games were gems.
Game 1 Hamden, the defending Champs, scored 23 points in the 4th Quarter to defeat Shelton 56-49. Hamden is the #7 seed, Shelton the #6 seed
Asya Brandon led Hamden with 24 points. Diamond White had 13 points and Rebecca Levine added 10 points for the Green Dragons.
Clarissa Pierre led Shelton with 17 points. Keira O'Conor added 14 points for the Gaels.
Game 2 East Haven 49 Hand 35 The Yellowjackets trailed 3-2 early, then took the lead and never trailed again. East Haven had a big 4th Quarter, outscoring Hand 20-9. East Haven is the #4 seed, Hand the #1 seed.
Taylor Salato led East Haven with 17 points. Erin Curran had 15 points for the Yellowjackets.
Sara Wohlgemuth led Hand with 19 points.
So it will be a rematch of last year's Championship Game - Hamden vs. East Haven on Wednesday night at Branford HS
