Madison Wins Again in LL Regional; Senior Legion Stamford, Southington Lose

Madison staved off elimination again in the Little League New England Regional Tournament by beating Maine 6-1.

Madison will now play Friday at 1pm against the loser of Thursday's game between Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

The Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday. The winner moves on to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

In the Senior Legion(19u) Northeast Regional in Worcester, Mass., Stamford and Southington both lost.

Stamford was beaten by Cumberland, Rhode Island 11-1 while Southington lost to Brattleboro, Vermont 4-3.

Both teams will play Thursday in elimination games.

9:30am Stamford vs. Nashua, New Hampshire

11:30am Southington vs. Hampden(Maine)- Shrewsbury(Mass.) loser

Tri-County will play Friday at 12:30pm in the Junior Legion Northeast Regional in Concord, New Hampshire against the Mass. Runner Up team.
