Cheshire Beats Orange, Sweeps Series, Stays Unbeaten

It was Willy and I making the trip to Orange to see Cheshire at Orange on Monday night in Zone 2 Senior Legion action.

Cheshire dominated the game and won 6-0. Michael Bankowski was the winning pitcher. He pitched a complete game, allowed just 3 hits and had 5 strikeouts. He threw only 88 pitches. Cheshire swept the 3 game series.

Ben Schena had 2 hits, scored a run, and had an rbi, Robert Roles had 2 hits and an rbi and Ryan Cyr and Andrew Declement had rbis for Cheshire.

Jonathan Mcnelis had a double for Orange. Cheshire is 7-0, Orange 5-5.

Hamden 7 East Haven 5 Jake Michaud was the winning pitcher. Jake Pisano had 3 hits and scored 3 runs, Tyler Osborne had 2 doubles and 4 rbis and Hank Bielen had 2 rbis for Hamden. Hamden is 9-2.

Wallingford 9 Branford 7 Anthony Romano was the winning pitcher in relief. Russell Edeen had 3 hits and 2 rbis and Joe Romano had 2 hits and 2 rbis for Wallingford.
