It was a 2 trip Tuesday to take in Girls Softball.
I made a solo trip to Milford first to see Wilcox Tech take on Platt Tech. This was a very good game - tied at 3 going to the top of the 7th inning - Wilcox Tech scored 7 runs and beat the Panthers 10-3. Briana Brown was the winning pitcher. She also had 3 hits herself at the plate, including a triple. Alex Nissle homered and had 2 rbis and Leah Maiorano also had a single and 2 rbis for Wilcox Tech.
Brianna Scarantino had 4 hits(2 doubles, a triple and a single) for Platt Tech. Mia Ramierz also had 2 hits and an rbi for the Panthers.
In the afternoon, it was a family trip to East Haven to see Sacred Heart Academy battle East Haven. This was another gem.
The Yellowjackets edged the Sharks 5-4. Emilee Bishop was the winning pitcher. Tori Heaphy had a double, triple, rbi and scored 2 runs for East Haven. Samantha Franchesci also had 2 hits and 2 rbis for the Yellowjackets.
Ally Kirck had a double and single and Bernadette Kingsbury had 2 singles for the Sharks.
