Girls Softball: Sacred Heart Academy Beats Shelton

It was a solo trip to Albertus Magnus on Monday to take in Shelton and Sacred Heart Academy in Girls Softball. The game was changed to Albertus because of the field conditions at SHA. If I were SHA, I'd play all my games at Albertus. It is a fantastic facility.

Sacred Heart Academy then shutout Shelton 12-0 in a game called in the 5th inning because of the 12 run mercy rule.

Bernadette Kingsbury was the winning pitcher. She allowed only 3 hits, had 7 strikeouts, and hit a 3 run Home Run for the Sharks. But she had plenty of offensive help.

Amanda Savinelli had 3 hits and an rbi, Ally Kirck had 2 hits, an rbi, and scored 3 runs, Paige Gambardella had 2 hits and 2 rbis, and Glory Villano and Abby MacDonald each had 2 hits for SHA.

Bryana Heuser and Julia Krijgsman each had a double for Shelton.

Other Softball Scores: Lauralton Hall 17 Mercy 1, North Haven 11 Hand 2, Seymour 10 St. Paul Catholic 9, Middletown 10 Glastonbury 9, St. Joseph 17 Norwalk 3, Newtown 7 Pomperaug 3

I will be out and about for the remainder of this week seeing as many as teams as I can.

But where? - We'll see - I could be at a game WITH you!
