Girls Basketball - Hamden, East Haven Win SCC Tournament Semifinals

What a great Monday night of Girls Basketball at Jonathan Law High School. It was the SCC Tournament Semifinals.

Game 1 - Hamden knocked off Hillhouse 62-58. Taniyah Thompson paced Hamden with 22 points. Asya Brandon added 14 points for the Green Dragons.

Tanayja London had 17 points and Ranasha Frazier 14 points for the Academics.

Game 2 - East Haven defeated Wilbur Cross 57-45 after trailing 26-21 at the Half.

Makenzie Helms had 22 points and Taylor Salato 17 points for East Haven. Isabella Ragaini hit a key 3 point shot in the 4th quarter for the Yellowjackets.

Kayla Jefferson had 14 points and Anajija Ricks 13 points for the Governors.

So it will be Hamden-East Haven III for the Championship on Wednesday night.

The 2 teams split 2 regular season meetings.
