Red Sox Clinch AL East; Browns Beat Jets, Snap 19 Game Winless Streak

The Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees 11-6 Thursday night at Yankee Stadium and clinched the AL East for the 3rd straight year. Mookie Betts homered and had 5 rbis for Boston. Jackie Bradley Jr. and Brock Holt also homered for the Red Sox. 

Luke Voit and Giancarlo Stanton homered for New York. Stanton's was a Grand Slam.

The Mets beat the Nationals 5-4 in 12 innings at Nationals Park. Michael Conforto and Jay Bruce homered for the Mets.

NFL Thursday Night Football

Cleveland Browns 21 New York Jets 17 The Browns snapped a 19 game winless streak. They had not won since Dec. 24, 2016. Cleveland trailed in the game 14-0. Cleveland is 1-1-1, the Jets 1-2.
