Fairfield American staved off elimination in the Little League(11-12) New England Regional Tournament in Bristol by beating Maine 7-1 on Tuesday.
Fairfield American will play New Hampshire at 1:00pm on Thursday in another elimination game. The Tournament ends on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn.
The American Legion Senior (19u) Northeast Regional Tournament begins on Wednesday in Shrewsbury, Mass.

9:30am Southington, Ct. vs. Essex, Vt.
4:30pm Ellington, Ct. vs. Braintree, Mass.
The winner of the Regional Tournament will advance to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina.
