The New York Mets pounded out 16 hits and clobbered the Toronto Blue Jays 12-2 Tuesday night at Citi Field. Devin Mesoraco homered and scored 4 runs for the Mets. Noah Syndergaard was the winning pitcher.
At Fenway Park, the Oakland Athletics defeated the Red Sox 5-3. Eduardo Rodriguez took the loss for Boston.
The Yankees and Nationals played to the 6th inning when the rain came and suspended the game. The game was tied 3-3. It will be finished starting at 5:05pm followed by the regularly scheduled game.
