My travels took me to Durham on Tuesday for Girls Softball - a battle of 2 unbeaten teams - North Branford and Coginchaug - and when the dust settled - the T-Birds remained unblemished, knocking off the Blue Devils 2-0.
Sydney Senerchia got the win for North Branford, pitching a 4 hitter and striking out 8.
Amy Raucci drove in both North Branford runs with a single and solo Home Run. She was the Willy George DeMaio Top Dog of the Game. Olivia Hemstock also had a single and double for the T-Birds. North Branford is 10-0.
Carina Mancini had a single and double for Coginchaug, now 8-1.
