Games were finally played on Thursday in Softball and Baseball and it wasn't exactly ideal weather.
I ventured to Eastieville and saw East Haven defeat Foran 10-5. Tyler Myers was the winning pitcher. Jessica Stettinger had 3 hits, including a 3 run HR and 4 rbis for East Haven. She was the Willy George DeMaio Top Dog of the Game. Willy was there but did not take part in the ceremony after the game. (something about it was too cold)
Selena Mauro had 3 hits and an rbi and Rebecca Flynn had 2 hits and a run scored for the Yellowjackets. Julia SanGiovanni also collected her 100th hit of her career for East Haven.
Marguerite Collette had 2 hits and 2 rbis Alexa Mendillo had 2 hits and an rbi for Foran.

The weather forecast for Friday and Saturday does not look promising for games that is. We'll just have to play it by ear. I know it was very cold on Thursday, but it felt good to be watching a game again.
