The Yankees came from behind to beat the Mets 4-2 Monday night at Yankee Stadium. The Mets led 2-0 on Home Runs by Yoenis Cespedes and Curtis Granderson. The Yankees received Homers from Aaron Judge, Aaron Hicks and Gary Sanchez.
The Indians defeated the Red Sox 7-3 in a makeup game at Fenway Park. Rafael Devers had 2 Home Runs and Andrew Benintendi 1 for the Red Sox. Boston leads the Yankees by 4 1/2 games in the AL East.
Former UCONN Men's Basketball Coach Jim Calhoun is comtemplating returning to coaching. It could be in Div. 3 at St. Joseph College in West Hartford. Calhoun is 75 years old. He left UCONN in 2012 because of health issues. He says health is no longer an issue.
The UCONN Women's Basketball team beat the Netherlands 69-52. It is the first of 4 exhibition games during a tour of Italy.
