I took a solo trip to Branford on Thursday - 2 old rivals East Haven and Branford in a Zone 2 Legion battle. In a game that seemed to drag, the two teams played to a 5-5 tie, suspended after 7 innings because of darkness.
For Branford, Jordan Botte had 2 hits and 3 rbis, Eddie Zanor had a big pinch hit triple, and DJ Caron and Mason Traca had rbis for the Home team.
For East Haven, Andrew Luzzi went 4 for 4, Anthony Buffone had 2 rbis and Dominic DelBasso drove in the game tying run in the 7th for the visitors.
The game will be completed Sunday afternoon in Branford at 2pm.
