It's Championship Week in Baseball and Softball. The Semifinal and Title Games will be played at various venues throughout the state.
My scheduled Monday Broadcast is the Softball Class S Semifinals from Biondi Field in West Haven. Air time for Game 1 is 3:55pm and Game 2 6:55pm on ESPNradio1300, ESPNradio1300.com & iheartradio. The 2 winners will meet for the Class S Title.
3:55pm Holy Cross vs. Wamogo 6:55pm St. Paul Catholic vs. Coventry
Also on Monday, the Class M Semifinals will be held at DeLuca Field in Stratford.
4:00pm North Branford vs. Northwestern 7:00pm Seymour vs. St. Joseph
Tuesday, the Class L and Class LL will be played.
Class L: Pomperaug vs. Torrington Barlow vs. Fitch both games at West Haven
Class LL: Cheshire vs. Southington Trumbull vs. Stamford both games at Stratford
All the Boys State Tournament Semifinals will be played on Tuesday.
Class LL: Amity vs. Danbury Ridgefield vs. Staples
Class L: Foran vs. Watertown North Haven vs. Fitch
Class M: H-K vs. Lewis Mills St. Joseph vs. Waterford
Class S: Holy Cross vs. Housatonic Regional Lyman Memorial vs. Morgan
So we shall see how this week turns out - the weather will obviously take first priority - but fret not - sooner or later all the games will be played.
