Softball: Lauralton Hall Tops East Haven; Baseball: #32 Foran Beats #1 East Lyme

The CIAC State Tournament is underway in Softball and Baseball and not without its usual surprises.

Wally and I spent the afternoon in East Haven taking in Baseball and Softball.

In the Softball Tournament

Lauralton Hall defeated East Haven 14-11 in one of the wildest games I've seen in awhile. The Crusaders scored in 6 of the 7 innings. Despite that, the Yellowjackets kept coming back. Emily Bump had 2 hits, including a Home Run and 2 rbis, Sara Fagan had 3 hits and 2 rbis, Alexa Furnari had 2 hits and an rbi, Gianna Capolla had a Home Run and 2 rbis for Lauralton.

Jessica Stettinger hit a 3 run Home Run and had 5 rbis for East Haven.

The 2 teams combined for 25 runs and 29 hits!
